A house on Kramer Drive in Clarksburg exploded on Jan. 26, claiming a resident’s life and forcing an evacuation of the surrounding five-block area for several days. In recognition of his outstanding response to the incident, the Clarksburg Police Department announced that Sergeant Justin Moore received the Meritorious Service Award. According to the department’s statement, Moore was among the first officers at the scene, where he secured the area and assisted residents in evacuating. He remained on site for an extended period to ensure no further injuries occurred.
