A Detroit, Michigan man was officially sentenced on Monday after being found guilty of bringing hundreds of grams of methamphetamine into Harrison County.

According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Davonta D. Brogdon, 32, of Detroit, will spend 150 months (12.5 years) in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute meth as part of a “larger drug trafficking operation in Harrison County.”
Court documents and statements made in court say that Brogdon—also known as “Zone” and “Tay”— was one of the main people involved in transporting large amounts of controlled substances from Detroit to Clarksburg. Brogdon also recruited other people to help him do this.
During a traffic stop on one of his trips law enforcement officers said they recovered 443 grams of meth as well as more than 50 grams of fentanyl. He was indicted in May 2022 on several drug charges.
Following his sentence, Brogdon will serve three years of supervised release.1
